Navodaya Institute of Technology (NIT-R) was established in 2008 by Navodaya Education Trust (NET), the biggest premier private institution in the education in Raichur, Karnataka, India. NET aims at developing Navodaya Institute of Technology (NIT-R) as the most respected and sought-after technical institution of higher learning in Karnataka.
The institute was accredited with an 'A' Grade by NAAC in the year 2021, and subsequently, the University Grants Commission (UGC) conferred Autonomous Status to the institute for a period of 10 years.
The institute offers six B. E. courses Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning CSE - AI&ML), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Civil Engineering (CE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME). And two PG programmes M. Tech – Thermal Power Engineering and M. Tech. – Digital Communication & Networking. All these courses are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Affiliated to VTU, Belgavi , Karnataka.
